Village Volunteers
The one2one inclusive recreation program trains youth volunteers, ages 13 and older, to become mentors to kids with special needs at Children’s Village.
Mentors help support kids during participation in community recreation activities such as swimming lessons, softball games and teen club activities.
The Kids on the Block program provides educational puppet presentations that enlighten children on the issues of disability awareness, medical-educational differences and social concerns. Volunteers train to become puppeteers and help present skits to groups at schools, community centers, parks and other public settings.
