Memorial’s visiting hours policy

In some areas of the hospital, visitors will see signs that limit the age of visitors to children over the age of 12. These are recommendations that are designed for the safety and protection of children. All visitors should take proper personal precautions when visiting patient care areas including using hand sanitizers located throughout the hospital and wearing appropriate protective equipment such as gown, gloves or masks when signs indicate.

  • Visiting hours vary by department, but for most patients visiting hours are from noon to 8 p.m.
  • Behavioral Health Services hours are weekdays 5 to 7 p.m. and weekends noon to 2 p.m. as well as 5 to 7 p.m.
  • Maternity patients in labor may have visitors at until 8 p.m. at night. After 8 p.m., visitors may only visit laboring patients. Each patient may have two visitors and a support person. Video and recording devices are allowed only after the birth.
  • Space in the Critical Care Unit is limited. We ask that families designate one or two visitors only to be in this waiting area at one time.
  • After 8:30 p.m., the only open entrance to Memorial is the emergency department (ED) entrance. Those arriving after 8:30 p.m. will need to check in with security and get a pass to be allowed into patient care areas beyond the ED.
