The Washington State Hospital Association makes hospital prices and performance data available on its Web site. The site gives consumers information to help them make decisions about health care. Reliable information allows consumers to make informed decisions about where they choose to seek care. It also helps policymakers, other health providers, and the public measure the cost and quality of hospital care.

A second Web site, www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov/hospital provides you with information on how well the hospitals in our area care for adult patients with certain medical conditions. This information will help you compare the quality of care hospitals provide. Hospital Compare was created through the efforts of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and organizations that represent hospitals, doctors, employers, accrediting organizations, other Federal agencies and the public.
