Water's Edge is a unique medical facility that brings a variety of interventional treatments for a broad spectrum of chronic pain to Central Washington. Memorial's Pain Relief Institute is meeting the needs of a growing number of referrals from around the state, as well as from neighboring states and Canada.

With a staff of nine medical providers and a support team of more than 25 skilled nurses, technicians and administrative personnel, Water's Edge provides nearly 10,000 square feet of modern offices, exam rooms and procedure rooms for pain treatments. A relaxing waiting area furnished with comfortable reclining chairs allows patients to contemplate the peaceful waters of Yakima's Lake Aspen while they await their procedures.

The Surgi-Center at Memorial

The Surgi-Center at Memorial is located on the main floor of West Pavilion I and includes four surgical suites used to perform orthopaedic, ophthalmology, podiatry, gynecological, plastic/reconstructive and general surgery procedures. A tunnel underneath 30th Avenue provides access for medical care teams to move seamlessly between the Surgi-Center at Memorial and main campus operating rooms, as well as excellent patient transport capability between the two facilities.

Maternal Health Services

Maternal Health Services is a group of community-based programs and services focused on providing preventive health and educational services for growing families. The services that are available include: the Central Washington Genetics Program, offering genetic counseling and specialized genetic testing; the First Steps Program which offers expectant mothers health education and help in accessing community resources; the Maternal-Child Health Program, providing home visits by a community health nurse to the families of high-risk infants and children; and After the Baby Comes (ABC), a program for new parents during the first two weeks after the baby's birth.

Memorial’s Community Education offers a range of health-related programs in English and Spanish, including those for seniors and their care givers, those with diabetes and smokers who want to quit. Community education is also home to the award-winning Passport to Health®, curriculum for elementary students and prepared childbirth classes.

With Memorial’s Home Care Services patients can receive home health care such as physical, occupational and speech therapy and skilled nursing in the comfort of their own homes. Also available are visits from medical, social workers and home health aides. Hospice offers comprehensive support to terminally ill patients and their families. In addition to providing pain and symptom management for the patient, hospice provides comfort and reassurance to families during this uncertain life transition. Hospice provides comfort care and brings quality of life during the final days of a person’s life while supporting families through this difficult time. Some of the additional specialized services provided include spiritual care, nutritional education and bereavement services.

Garden Village combines traditional nursing home services with transitional care that may be needed following an accident or surgery. Garden Village offers 24-hour nursing, on-site therapies, as well as pain management, hospice care and intravenous therapy.

Heritage Grove

Heritage Grove provides assistance with adult daily living skills for those over age 50 with complex psychiatric conditions like Alzheimer’s disease. A team of nurses, social workers, nursing assistants and rehabilitation specialists assess medical needs, offer medication management and nutrition counseling and behavioral intervention, all within a homelike setting.
